Show Your Meals on Wheels NC Pride – Specialty License Plate Pre-Orders Available Now!

A new way to share your support for Meals on Wheels North Carolina is hitting the road! Starting 

Monday, October 5, 2026, pre-orders will open for the official Meals on Wheels North Carolina 

Specialty License Plate. Whether you’re a Meals on Wheels volunteer, recipient, provider, or just 

someone who knows how crucial Meals on Wheels service can be for older adults in your community, 

you are invited to pre-order! A portion of the proceeds will benefit MOWNC in the effort to expand 

and continue meal service to older adults across the State.

Plate Options & Pricing:

•  $30 for a standard Meals on Wheels NC specialty plate, renewable annually for $30.

•  $60 for a customized specialty plate (personalized text/numbers, up to four 

characters)

Pre-Order Requirements:

•  A minimum of 500 pre-orders is required before our application package can be sent to the NC 

General Assembly for approval and NC Division of Motor Vehicles for production. This process can be 

time-consuming, so any fees submitted are non- refundable in the event the application is denied 

and will be considered a tax- deductible donation to Meals on Wheels NC.

•  Plates are available for North Carolina-registered, non-commercial vehicles.

How to Order:

Interested drivers may pre-order and pay via credit card or via check by mail. An application can be downloaded HERE. Please 

submit completed application via website portal, email or by mail. Receipts will be emailed &/or 

mailed. Payment must be received with application for application to be processed.
