Senior Nutrition Program Orientation Training
Meals on Wheels North Carolina is pleased to offer the Senior Nutrition Program Director Orientation in partnership with NC Division of Aging and Adult Services.Join us for a Pre-Conference Intensive training session on Thursday, October 9, 2025, beginning at 7:30 am. This intensive training session will include the following topics:
• Aging Network Introduction
• Senior nutrition program eligibility
• Nutrition Menu Requirements
• Food preparation & Safety Requirements (Environmental Health presents)
• Nutrition Education & Programming
• Staffing
• Program Administration
You MUST register for this pre-conference event separately as space is limited. This session is an ADDITIONAL $30 per person to attend. Registration is limited to the first 30 participants. A participation certificate will be provided at the end of this session.
This session is great for new program staff, those who would like a refresher, or those who would like to know more about our standards.

The Meals on Wheels NC Inaugural Senior Nutrition Program Conference is an excellent opportunity to network with senior nutrition program professionals throughout North Carolina. We are excited to offer a variety of sessions to help you grow as a professional to help better serve your aging community. We are thrilled to also welcome our Keynote Speake Jen Teague, NCOA Director for Health Coverage Benefits and Closing Speaker Josh Protas, Chief Advocacy and Policy office at Meals on Wheels America.

Please note that the conference is being held at the Embassy Suites. Special rates for the MOWNC Nutrition Programs Conference are available at the hotel. The special booking rate is $139 plus tax. (Conference rate has now expired)
